Saman Me Kala

Saman Me Kala is a multidisciplinary queer artist from Karimnagar, South India, currently based in Auroville. With a background in graphic design, photography, and performing arts, Saman’s work explores identity, memory, and emotional storytelling through mixed media, movement, and film. They’ve trained under Surya Performance Lab, blending physical theatre with personal narrative. Their work often merges surreal visuals, experimental soundscapes, and queer themes, creating spaces for embodied introspection and cultural reclamation. Recent projects include visual collaborations with IIM Ahmedabad and performances around queer expression and inner transformation. Saman continues to investigate the split-self as both performer and observer in their work.
